We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Shumail Shikarpuria: Hello, I’m Shumail Shikarpuria, the Regional Partner and CMO of Vitruvian Agency.
I’m a data-driven growth marketer based in London, with my expertise lying in demand generation.
At Vitruvian, we’re not just a marketing agency, we’re a strategic partner for businesses looking to amplify their presence in the market through a blend of public relations and marketing consultancy.
Our aim? To make sure your marketing engine not only talks the talk but also walks the walk, delivering real, measurable results.
Quiet quitting, The Great Resignation, are an ongoing trend causing many businesses to struggle to keep talent engaged and motivated. Most are leaving because of their boss or their company culture. 82% of people feel unheard, undervalued, and misunderstood in the workplace. In your experience, what keeps employees happy? And how are you adapting to the current shift we see?
Shumail Shikarpuria: In my experience, employee happiness is rooted in a workplace culture that values communication and recognition. Flexibility in work arrangements, opportunities for skill development, and a commitment to work-life balance are increasingly important.
It’s about creating an environment where employees not only work but also thrive. At Vitruvian Agency, we prioritize inclusivity, offer professional development, and maintain a flexible work environment.
By staying responsive to our team’s needs, we aim to navigate this shift and ensure our employees feel valued and motivated.
Online business keeps on surging higher than ever, B2B, B2C, online shopping, virtual meetings, remote work, Zoom medical consultations, what are your expectations for the year to come and how are you capitalizing on the tidal wave?
Shumail Shikarpuria: The surge in online business across B2B and B2C landscapes, along with the prevalence of virtual meetings and remote work, is a trend that’s here to stay.
Looking ahead, I expect this trajectory to continue, with an even greater emphasis on seamless digital experiences.
At Vitruvian, we’re capitalizing on this wave by prioritizing digital innovation and customer-centric strategies. For B2B clients, we’re enhancing their online presence through targeted marketing campaigns and optimizing user experiences. In the B2C realm, we’re leveraging e-commerce trends and refining our approach to meet the evolving needs of online shoppers.
Additionally, we’re doubling down on strategies that enhance virtual engagement. From refining our social media tactics to optimizing platforms for remote collaboration, we’re ensuring our clients are well-positioned to thrive in the digital landscape of the coming year.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Shumail Shikarpuria: The real challenge we’re facing right now is scaling effectively in the midst of rapid digital transformation. As businesses increasingly pivot to online platforms, scaling operations and strategies to meet this shift is both a critical hurdle and an opportunity for growth.
We recognize that scaling isn’t a one-size-fits-all endeavor and involves more than just expanding the size of a business; it’s about ensuring that growth is sustainable, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of the market.
For us, the challenge lies in navigating the complexities of a digital landscape, from optimizing online presence and marketing strategies to streamlining operations for seamless scalability.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Shumail Shikarpuria: In my experience, one of the most underestimated aspects of running a company is the critical importance of adaptability.
A company’s ability to navigate change, pivot strategies, and thrive in evolving circumstances is the cornerstone of success.
The pace of technological advancements, shifts in consumer behavior, and global events necessitate a constant readiness to adapt.
I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of adaptability in TekRevol’s journey, a company where I currently serve as the AVP – Marketing and Digital Services.
In a rapidly changing market where consumer preferences were shifting due to the pandemic, TekRevol’s leadership recognized the need to adapt, fostering a culture that encourages innovation, embracing new technologies, and swiftly adjusting marketing strategies.
This adaptability not only kept the company ahead of the curve but also created a resilient and agile organization.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Shumail Shikarpuria: If I could pick a business superpower, it would be the ability to foresee emerging trends.
Now, how cool would it be to know about upcoming market shifts, consumer preferences, and the next big thing before it even hits the radar?
With this power, I’d put it into practice by steering my company confidently through the ever-changing business landscape. We’d be the cool kids on the block, always a step ahead in anticipating what people want.
It’s like having a cheat code to outsmart the competition and ride the wave of the next big thing before it even arrives.
