We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Galit Ventura-Rozen: As a commercial real estate broker, I own and operate Commercial Professionals, where I have sold over $700 million in commercial property in Las Vegas over the past 25+ years. After enjoying a very lucrative career as a real estate expert, I began to experience sleepless nights with racing thoughts. As a then-working mother of three, I wanted to help women, so I returned to college at 38. In 2016, I earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University and graduated with honors.
From there, I began a one-woman mission to empower, inspire and motivate others to believe in themselves. Whether by using lessons from my book, The Successful Woman’s Mindset, offering innovative strategies for HR as a corporate trainer, or raising the productivity of others as an executive coach – my passion and energy are almost palpable. What sets me shoulders above the rest is my unwavering belief in others and my insistence that the possibilities of success are limitless when we get out of our own way.
I started a new business, Everyday Woman, with my business partner Angela Giles in 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic.
We saw within a few days; those women were scrambling to figure out how to go online with their business or pivot their current online business to make money.
Everyday Woman was born to support women who needed support right away. They started a Facebook group and have added hundreds of free videos sharing with women how to be more visible and get more clients through social media, becoming authors, marketing, branding, networking, and more. This community has grown to over 14,000 women and continues to grow each day.
Today we have Everyday Woman TV, which gives women a place to have their own show on 19 online platforms.
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Galit Ventura-Rozen: Taking an idea of starting an online network for women by women to give women a platform to share their expertise through educating, motivating, and inspiring other women and turning it into currently having 81 TV Hosts.
Aside from giving women the platform to share their expertise, I have had the opportunity to have my own show, The Successful Woman’s TV Show, and interview successful women in all areas of business, health, mindset, spirituality, and more to educate other women watching the network. Everyday Woman TV is now on 19 platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and more!!!
Quiet quitting, The Great Resignation, are an ongoing trend causing many businesses to struggle keeping talent engaged and motivated. Most are leaving because of their boss or their company culture. 82% of people feel unheard, undervalued and misunderstood in the workplace. In your experience, what keeps employees happy? And how are adapting to the current shift we see?
Galit Ventura-Rozen: During the pandemic, I know women that were laid off after working for a company for 40 years. One day you have a job, the next day, you don’t. No retirement cake, no thank you for working with us. Just a, we are sorry we can’t pay you anymore. This is the issue with many businesses. They treat people working for them as replaceable.
Companies need to get to know their employees, their strengths their weaknesses. Then they should focus on their strengths and what the employee loves to do the most and give them the opportunity to thrive and grow. Weaknesses should be delegated out to an employee that this would be a strength for..
Also, businesses should talk to their employees and ask what keeps them motivated and what they think would keep them engaged and listening. It is time to show appreciation to those who give most of their day to their job.
I have teams that compromise with people that work worldwide, including in the United States. I make sure I value my employees and make sure they know it every day. I offer an open-door policy for opinions, ideas, and what needs they have.
Here is a two fold question: What is the book that influenced you the most and how? Please share some life lessons you learned. Now what book have you gifted the most and why?
Galit Ventura-Rozen: The book that influenced and still influences me the most is The Big Leap by Guy Hendricks. This was shared with me by one of my first business coaches about seven years ago, and I recommend it to all my clients and mentees. I listen to it often on audible and have the book on my nightstand, with sections I want to look at often highlighted.
This book has influenced me the most by adding to the education I have had over the years about mindset, upper limiting, and my zone of genius (all terms from the book). If you haven’t read the book it has influenced me the most because it has changed the way I look at just about everything in my life.
It has taught me to delegate more, say thank you when someone compliments me in place of “but” and, more than anything, spend more and more time doing what I love, following my purpose, and believing in myself.
Christopher Hitchens, an American journalist, is quoted as saying that “everyone has a book in them” Have you written a book? If so, please share with us details about it. If you haven’t, what book would you like to write and how would you like it to benefit the readers?
Galit Ventura-Rozen: I wrote the book ” The Successful Woman’s Mindset” about 5 years ago. This book shares how to unlock the power within you. You can do this by recognizing how you can turn fear into determination, and how to believe in yourself. Be a leader, know what you want, and much much more.
The benefit to the readers is, I take them through my own journey of successes and failures to reach their full potential through logical steps to focus on the successful mindset to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
This is a practical down to earth book that uses every day terminology combined with mindset tips and specific action steps you can take to conquer your mindset and thoughts. This is so they work for you not against you and you can live your best life.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Galit Ventura-Rozen: Working on your business as much, if not more than working in your business. Many times what happens is an owner is so focused on only the current clients and getting the work done that the owner is not spending enough time looking at the things that need to be consistent in a business such as marketing, brand recognition, visibility, and networking.
For example: If you are spending all your time taking care of your current clients that are wonderful, but what happens when those clients move on, and you don’t have clients waiting to work with? When you spend time every week on your business, you are creating goals, consistent with your marketing, and have a consistent flow of lead generation. This, in turn, makes sure you are consistently creating new revenue or have clients ready to move into the pipeline.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Galit Ventura-Rozen: If I could pick a superpower, it would be the power of changing people’s thoughts. What do I mean? I wish I could change people’s thoughts from negative to positive to benefit their personal and professional life.
Our minds seem to work against us much easier than for us, which stops many people from living meaningful lives that brings them happiness and fulfillment. If I could change people’s thoughts, I would change them to believe in themselves, not put limits on themselves, and not allow fear to stop them from going after that promotion or that new relationship or living their purpose and doing what they love.
I would use my superpower to superpower others to live their best life and have no regrets. To recognize that sometimes we fail and that’s ok, that sometimes we make mistakes and that’s ok, and to stop allowing those things to stop us from trying again and again and again or even trying for the first time.
