We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Gal Ringel: I’m Gal Ringel, the CEO and one of 3 co-founders of MineOS, a data privacy platform that we’ve created to empower the public’s data rights and give companies the tools to manage data compliance without the headache those tasks have historically brought.
What advice do you wish you had received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Gal Ringel: Do not be afraid to take risks and experience failures! Many starting businesses are under immense pressure to succeed right away, but making mistakes and growing from them is how we learn best!
Here is a two-fold question: What is the book that influenced you the most and how? Please share some life lessons you learned. Now what book have you gifted the most and why?
Gal Ringel: Zero-to-One by Peter Thiel. “The most valuable businesses of coming decades will be built by entrepreneurs who seek to empower people rather than try to make them obsolete”
I can’t say I regularly gift books to people, but when they ask for recommendations, Zero-to-One is always on the short list of what I tell people.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Gal Ringel: I’m happy to say that we’ve nailed our product-market-fit, and now the challenge is scaling the business 🙂 Hiring, Innovating, and delivering happiness to customers in the hundreds and thousands rather than the dozens.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Gal Ringel: No one talks about the mental challenges of running a startup, especially being a CEO. The amount of stress, unplanned things that arise, and new challenges that you have to deal with is enormous.
I wish more founders would share their challenges and how they deal with them, as it would be great for the startup community at-large.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Gal Ringel: Reading people’s minds would be fantastic, since I could use it to make sure my employees are happy and to better tap into what customers really want and need from a data governance platform.
Jerome Knyszewski, VIP Contributor to ValiantCEO and the host of this interview would like to thank Gal Ringel for taking the time to do this interview and share his knowledge and experience with our readers.
