Welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start with a brief introduction. Can you please present yourself to our readers?
Kaycee Feild: My name is Kaycee Feild, and I was born and raised in Utah. I feel very lucky to have been born into the family I was. I recently retired in September 2023 and started a few businesses. Before my retirement, I had a CBD company called PWR Pro CBD, which is still doing well.
I also have a cowboy hat company named WarBonnet Cowboy Hats. Recently, I launched a fulfillment company called KTK Fulfillment in Springville. We offer a variety of logistics services such as shipping, kitting, and pack-out – you name it, my company can do it!
Additionally, I launched Payment Cowboys, a payment service company, which is a new field for me but is very interesting. Running a CBD company and being in a high-risk industry was quite a challenge, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Life is moving at a fast pace for me right now, but I am grateful for everything!
Our audience is interested to know about how you got started. Did you always want to become a cowboy, or was it something you were led to? Our readers would love to know your story.
Kaycee Feild: My dad, my late father Lewis Feild, was a five-time world champion cowboy. When I was growing up, we spent a lot of time at rodeos.
As a result, I became very interested in rodeo when I was around 12 or 13 years old and wrote down my goals. From that moment on, I was only focused on becoming a world champion bare- back rider.
Nothing else mattered to me. School, jobs, and other things were just distractions. Fulfilling my childhood dream, I won six world titles.
‘Self-made’ is a myth. We all received help. No doubt you love to show your appreciation to those who support you when the going gets tough. Who has been your most important professional inspiration?
Kaycee Feild: I am surrounded by a lot of inspiring people who are successful, hardworking, and ambitious. However, my biggest motivation comes from my brother Shadrach, who is also my partner in the cowboy hat company.
I admire him for his life experiences and how he has overcome obstacles and continues to be a successful mentor. I have a lot of respect for him.
How did your journey from becoming a cowboy take you to transitioning into the business world? What difficulties did you face along the way and what did you learn from them?
Kaycee Feild: My journey began in the shadows of my father, but even as a child, I always dreamed of being my own boss and pursuing my passion for rodeos. I wanted to be a successful cowboy, and there was no other choice for me from the beginning.
Through the ups and downs of my rodeo career, including injuries and frequent travel, I have grown into the person I am today. While my resume helps, it’s the experiences I’ve gained from rodeo that have made it easier for me to transition into the business world.
In business, it’s important to know your products and be sharp, but at the same time it’s just like rodeo – it’s a handshake deal, making eye contact, and showing people respect. I’ve found that the same principles that made me successful in rodeo have helped me succeed in business.
What would you say being successful means to you? Do you think ‘success’ means generating a certain amount of wealth, gaining a certain level of popularity, or helping a certain number of people?
Kaycee Feild: I believe success is all about having a good quality of life. When I think about what it means to be successful, I picture being there for my kids as much as possible, being a good role model for them, and giving them all the support they need.
Also, helping others is a big part of success in my eyes. It’s something I enjoy doing, especially with my children. Taking time out of your day to serve and assist others can make a big difference because time is something we can never get back.
While donating money is good, you’ll probably earn it back eventually. So, for me, success boils down to helping others and having a good quality of life.
Do you have any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, cowboys and future leaders? What advice would you give them or give to somebody that is just starting out on their journey?
Kaycee Feild: Be resilient. Find a routine. Get into it and don’t have any dis- tractions. Don’t allow distractions to deter you from your main goals.
You need daily goals, you need weekly goals, monthly goals, you need yearly goals and then you need life goals.
And, above all, you need to stay focused on those. So be resilient in achieving your goals.
If you wrote a book about your life today, what would you like it to focus on?
Kaycee Feild: It depends on which generation of Kaycee you’re referring to or which decade specifically.
I recall feeling immense pride when my father passed away because of all the positive things people had to say about him.
As someone who has retired from rodeo, I hope that when I pass away, if there’s a book written about me, it will focus on the things that I hold dear: finding happiness, bringing people together, and working towards a common goal.
Would you like to share any final thoughts with our readers?
Kaycee Feild: Yes. To live their lives like there’s gonna be a story written about them. Focus on making a positive impact on others.
A simple compliment or act of kindness can go a long way. It’s also important to lift up and support those around you.
So, make every chapter of your life memorable and worth reading.
It’s pretty fun to interview a 6-time world champion! If there’s anything that could be said about you, it is how humble you are. It was a pleasure to have you joining us today.
Kaycee Feild: Thank you. We’re all going to the same place. We are not different from each other.Jed Morley, VIP Contributor to ValiantCEO and the host of this interview would like to thank Kaycee Feild for taking the time to do this interview and share his knowledge and experience with our readers.

From Cowboy Boots To Entrepreneurship
Dust swirls in the sunlight as the crowd erupts in thunderous applause – this is the world of rodeo, where Kaycee Feild’s name is etched in history. Born in the rugged landscapes of Utah and raised on horseback, Feild’s journey from a young cowboy chasing a dream to a renowned champion extends far beyond the arena, leaving a trail of triumph, perseverance, and unbreakable passion.
As the son of legendary rider Lewis Feild, Kaycee was destined to forge his path in the rodeo world from the moment he first mounted a horse, exhibiting a rare blend of raw talent and unwavering determination that set him apart from his peers.
From the dusty arenas of small-town rodeos to the grand stages of the world championship circuit, Feild’s rise to the top was swift and unstoppable. Yet, beneath the glitz and glory of his victories lies a devoted husband and father, who finds solace and strength in the love and support of his family.
Now retired and dedicated to home life while venturing into new businesses, he continues to add chapters to his legacy, inspiring future generations to pursue their wildest dreams. The legend of Kaycee Feild burns brighter than ever.
Family Heritage: Rodeo Stardom
Kaycee Feild was born into a family with a rich rodeo heritage, and his passion for the sport began at a young age. He inherited his talent from his father, Lewis Feild, a legendary bareback rider and five-time PRCA World Champion, who sadly passed away in 2016 from cancer.
Lewis was not only Kaycee’s coach but also his life mentor, and the reason for his success. Kaycee‘s riding skills captivated audiences, inspired by his father’s legacy.
He quickly gained fame for his fear- less style. Feild earned his PRCA card in 2007 and qualified for the National Finals Rodeo 13 times, from 2008 to 2015, and again from 2018 to 2022, tying for the fifth-highest total among bareback riders.
The Genola, Utah, cowboy earned more than $3.5 million with a PRCA-record six world titles to his credit.
In a recent interview, when asked about his greatest career achievement, he couldn’t pick between winning his first world title in 2011 and winning a half-million dollars at The American.
The latter was particularly special as he had been struggling mentally, financially, and physically after losing his father to cancer.
“After I won, I felt like a million pounds had been lifted off my shoulders. A lot changed for me in my life after that win.” Kaycee Feild revolutionized bareback riding and made everyone love him in the process.
He found enjoyment in the arena in different ways, and his love for the sport is something that will always identify him.
Riding Through Adversity
His fearless, precise talent and brilliant smile were trade- marks that had taken the then 32-year-old to stardom and, to that point, four consecutive PRCA world championships at that time. However, his last appearance at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo did not go as planned. As a result, he did what champions do and doubled down on his efforts that Spring and headed to Texas.
This would be a crucial moment in Feild’s life, as during his ride he was thrown off and knocked unconscious. He suffered a kick to the head, which resulted in a fractured skull, nose, and jaw, as well as a brain bleed. He and his doctors were concerned about the severity of the bleeding, and his vision was distorted, causing nausea and disorientation.
Luckily there was a secret weapon he didn’t realize would be his salvation: PWR Pro CBD. His 3-year-old boy, Huxyn, had asthma and no medication his doctors prescribed was working. His friends and neighbors, the Mowers’, and their partner, Whit Hill, had recently started producing CBD.
“We knew them to be honest, incredibly knowledgeable about nutrition on the cellular level and turned to them, asking if CBD might be helpful to our little boy.” It was, so researching PWR Pro CBD became part of his daily routine. Before the accident, he had been discussing a business opportunity regarding a potential line of CBD products, but not given much consideration back then.
When his wife was going to make the trip to Texas to see him in the hospital, Feild asked her to bring one of those product samples he had been provided. He took two big swallows and went straight to sleep for about 10 hours.
When he woke up, he felt pretty normal, and the next CT scan was normal, with no traces of bleeding. “The doctors couldn’t understand why that was happening, and that’s when I knew I wanted to share it with everybody,” said Feild. Three months later, he was back competing.
This experience became a personal testimony moment for Feild, and led to the establishment of PWR Pro, a company specializing in CBD products.
From there, things have spiraled positively. Because the requirements to ship hemp-based merchandise with traditional carriers can be restrictive, Feild took advantage of a newly established inland port in Spanish Forks, Utah, and worked with an experienced partner to create a fulfillment company that handles shipping logistics. Feild is engaged in all areas of the company.
He also collaborated with his brother, Shad, to establish Warbonnet Hat Works, a cowboy hat business in Roosevelt, Utah. The brand has a partnership with his sister-in-law, Jazlyn, and her western-themed boutique, Goldie Lew.
A New Chapter Begins
At 36 years old, Feild announced his retirement from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in November. He finished the 2023 season ranked 16th in the bareback riding world standings, narrowly missing the National Finals Rodeo for a 14th time. Feild expressed his gratitude for his successful career in rodeo and the friendships he made over the years.
He considers his career a blessing and is humbled by the experience. “The things I learned along the way, the ups and downs, it makes me so excited for the next chapter and confident in the direction I’m going.”
The decision to retire was one he had been weighing for quite some time, as the grind of professional rodeo is difficult to manage, even when having continued success. But he has plenty to keep him occupied with his multiple business ventures and three children.
He is happy to be home with his family and spend more time with them. Kaycee and his wife Stephanie have three children, their daughters Chaimberlyn (10), and Remi (5), and their son, Huxyn (8). “I have more joy in my life right now than I’ve ever had.”
Outside of rodeo, Feild has several businesses he is involved in that excite and motivate him, including PWR PRO, which he has owned for five years and is doing well. He is also involved in a new venture called KTK Fulfillment, a fast-paced business that stores and fulfills orders.
The Heart of a Champion
From his times within the arena, despite his hectic schedule and the demands of his profession, and today outside of it, Feild remains deeply committed to giving back to his community and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Whether through his involvement in charities or his efforts to mentor aspiring riders, he is dedicated to using his platform for good and paying forward the blessings he has received.
As a vocal advocate for causes close to his heart, Feild also lends his voice and his support to initiatives aimed at promoting animal welfare, conservation, and youth empowerment. He believes strongly in the power of rodeo to inspire and uplift, and works tirelessly to ensure that the sport continues to thrive.
His unwavering commitment to his family, community, and the sport he loves serves as an inspiration to all who know him. Through his humility, integrity, and unshakeable determination, he embodies the very essence of what it means to be a champion, both on and off the field.
Inspiring generations to come to believe in the power of their potential.
In the end, what truly defines us is not the trophies or the recognition we receive, but the impact we leave on the world and the lives we touch along the way.
And in that regard, Kaycee Feild’s legacy as a cowboy, a champion, and a true rodeo legend is nothing short of extraordinary.
