We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Phil Vam: Thank you for having me, Jed! I’m Phil Vam. While I might describe myself as a humble entrepreneur, my aspirations in the business and digital world are anything but modest.
I’m at the helm of several digital platforms like Microstartups, Lifedev, and Cryptopost, to name a few. These platforms extend across different global regions and serve a shared purpose: empowering individuals.
Through our sites, we provide insights on self-improvement, the latest in technology, business development, and more. It’s about enlightening our readers and equipping them with the tools they need to excel in an ever-evolving world.
Can you share with us your journey towards integrating AI into your business operations?
Phil Vam: Absolutely! When AI first started gaining traction, I was quite skeptical about integrating it into our operations. I think many entrepreneurs shared my initial hesitancy, unsure of how AI would fit into our business models. However, it was my team that nudged me towards giving it a shot.
I’m always open to their insights, and this time, they urged me to explore the world of artificial intelligence. Once I took the plunge, it wasn’t long before I recognized its immense potential.
By incorporating AI, we were able to drive greater productivity and efficiency, and the best part? It came with reduced costs. The journey has been enlightening, to say the least.
What specific areas of your business have been most impacted by AI, and how?
Phil Vam: AI has had a transformative impact on various facets of our business. The most profound changes? Data analysis, content creation, and optimization. Before AI, data analysis was a lengthy and manual process. Now, with AI tools in our arsenal, it’s quicker, more efficient, and incredibly precise.
We’ve managed to trim down our analysis time significantly. In addition to that, AI has supercharged our content creation strategy, especially when optimizing our older content. We recently started implementing AI in crafting content for social media. It’s reshaping how we engage with our audience, making our online presence more dynamic and responsive.
What are the biggest obstacles you’ve faced in implementing AI, and how did you overcome them?
Phil Vam: One of the most challenging areas during our AI transition was certainly data analysis. Given its importance, we were always on our toes, double-checking to ensure the AI wasn’t inadvertently skewing results or leading us astray. It was a balance of trust and caution.
Moreover, while I pride myself on having an innovative team that’s always up for challenges, the leap to AI was a fresh experience for all of us. Despite their expertise, there was a steep learning curve.
We dedicated a considerable amount of time upfront, learning and understanding how best to harness the power of AI to drive our business forward. It was an investment in both time and patience, but the outcomes? Undoubtedly worth it.
What advice would you give to other CEOs looking to integrate AI into their business?
Phil Vam: To other CEOs thinking about AI: just dive in and give it a try. Business keeps changing, and AI is one of those tools that’s making a difference right now. If you give it a shot and feel it’s not doing much for you (though I’d be surprised), at least you’ve learned something new.
But if you do decide to bring AI into your mix, be ready to learn. It’s not just about using it, but understanding how it works. So, spend some time training yourself and your team. Making the most of AI means really getting to know it, and that’s a solid move for any business.
How do you see AI evolving in your industry over the next 5 years?
Phil Vam: In my view, AI is going to play a bigger role in the next few years, especially in tech-heavy industries like mine. As technology keeps growing, businesses in our field naturally want to use these new tools.
But as we rely more on AI, I think governments need to set clear rules to prevent unethical use, copyright issues, and other related concerns. It’s all about using AI smartly, ethically, and responsibly.
What does “success” in 2023 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Phil Vam: In 2023, my definition of ‘success’ pivots on continual growth. While some equate success solely with financial gain, I view it as tapping into one’s fullest potential—maximizing our skills, knowledge, and opportunities. Success, after all, is a deeply personal measure.
For me, it’s about pouring in relentless effort towards my goals. It’s not just about hitting the target but savoring the journey, knowing that with each passing day, I’m inching closer. It’s the pursuit and the perseverance that spell success for me.
