Her authentic love for vintage fashion defines the brand. From the discovery of her mother’s fifty-year-old handbag to the incorporation of vintage detailing in every piece, Patricia Nash Designs seamlessly marries timeless style with modern sophistication.
Over 15 years time, Patricia has built a team of over 35 people and the company not only sells direct to consumers through their website but can also be found at Dillard’s, Macy’s, Belk, Von Maur, QVC, HSN, many Military bases across the US, and in the Atlanta, Nashville and Phoenix airports.
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Patricia Nash: Our continued success in an unstable market – Holding our positioning amongst our peers while keeping the company profitable.
What advice do you wish you had received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Patricia Nash: Strategies and plans that one so diligently study to create are only as good as also your retail partners success as many of these failed strategies are beyond a brand’s control and need to include a measure of error.
We intend on continuing to critique our mix of styles and leathers as well as strong value and pricing.
Online business keeps on surging higher than ever, B2B, B2C, online shopping, virtual meetings, remote work, Zoom medical consultations, what are your expectations for the year to come and how are you capitalizing on the tidal wave?
Patricia Nash: Online retail business is continuing to be challenging not booming so we continue to evaluate our mix of exclusive product and sales events as well as our spend on social marketing.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Patricia Nash: The real challenge right now is working thru your retail partner’s challenges as well and how you can assist in them to attract more customers and be more profitable thus improving your sales and penetration as well.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Patricia Nash: Underestimated part is the amount of constant research and change is needed to stay relevant and competitive amongst your competition both new and old.
What does “success” in 2024 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Patricia Nash: Success is a good balance in life between work and personal life and quality verses quantity of time- What you make of it!
