The Olight Warrior X4 is a tactical torch, but it has a far wider appeal. Its strong 2600 lumen beam is nothing unique, but its remarkable range of 360 metres, with just the best amount of spill – the pretty dimmer light around the central hotspot, is what sets it apart. And finally Olight are providing dual charging – with a USB-C port on the flashlight itself.

Features
The Olight Warrior X4 has a top output of 2,600 lumens and throws that light up to 630 meters. The one LED generates cool white light between 5,700 and 6,700K with a CRI of 70 and a top intensity of 99,310 candela.
Modes
The light has 4 modes to pick from. There is low, high, strobe and medium. The Warrior X 4 is furnished with regular mode and a tactical mode, so there is a quite learning curve to understand the controls.
For regular mode, one light tap deactivates/actives the low mode, while a complete press lets you access high mode. When on low, Light tap will let you jump to high.
To access tactical mode, turn the light on and gradually unscrew the magnetic tail switch until the light turns off. Then, quickly tighten the switch – the light is now is Tactical mode. One Light tap activates medium mode, and a complete press activates the strobe spec.
Weight and size
The Warrior X4 specs an aluminum alloy body and a durable stainless steel strike bezel and switch tail that give it a rugged look. It weighs in at just nine ounces and measures 5.87 inches from tip tail.
When it comes to external durability, it has a two meter drop rating and a stainless steel strike bevel for self-defense and as a vehicle emergency tool. Finally, the body is covered with a Type II hard-anodized finish to help stop corrosion and decrease wear and tear.
Olight design earns it an IPX8 ingress rating, meaning that it is waterproof in new water up to 1.5 meters deep for thirty minutes.
Battery and charging
The flashlight takes a proprietary 21700 5000mAh battery which can just really be recharged in the flashlight itself because of its recessed positive terminal. But it is a famous battery in Olight range of flashlights, so you may well end up with spares.
Rotate the ring below the head to show the USB-C charging port. It is a pretty stiff and really needs 2 hands and mine was extremely slightly gritty, but it clicks into its closed position pretty reassuringly.
The battery charges from empty in approximately 3.5 hours using the supplied charging cable, and vitally it will also charge off a USB-C to USB-C cable. The charging LED shifts from red to green when it is completely charged. Unfortunately, it is not a 2 way USB-C charging port – you can use it to charge your other gadgets.
The USB-C port is still meant to be waterproof without the ring closed, but it does leave it open to debris and dust. There is a combined battery level and charging indicator LED. You need to slide open the ring, just to check the status of the battery. It is a primitive battery level indicator as well with just a tri-colour LED, matched to most of Olight recent premium flashlights. It’s green for greater than 60 percent charge remaining, orange for between 10-60 percent, red for 5-10 percent and flashing red for less than five percent.
630 metres range with tactical and regular mode
Two modes of operations are present, providing users a choice. The regular model has the Turbo of 2,600 lumens and the low mode of 300 lumens, switching to tactical mode has a one level of 1000 lumens with a strobe mode (13Hz with a level of 2600 lumens).
Strong 99,310 candela beam with a smooth reflector hits a remarkable 630 metres distance.
It is effective and simple system which is perfect for tactical uses.
Gathered with the new re-inforced hard nylon belt mountable ease, lets you despoly and save the torch immediately.
