Most are leaving because of their boss or their company culture. 82% of people feel unheard, undervalued, and misunderstood in the workplace. In your experience, what keeps employees happy? And how are you adapting to the current shift we see?
Giovanni Brees: To keep our team happy, we prioritize several key elements:

We regularly hold feedback sessions and one-on-one meetings, providing a platform for our team members to voice their thoughts, ideas, and concerns. This ensures that they feel heard, valued, and understood.

As we look ahead to the year to come, my expectations are fueled by the realization that this digital transformation & impact of AI development, is here to stay and continues to present numerous opportunities.
At BoostYourCampaign, we are capitalizing on this tidal wave by aligning our strategies with the changing landscape. We have been adding several developers to our marketing team and launched our own AI application focusing on data collection and extrapolation.

Christopher Hitchens, an American journalist, is quoted as saying that “everyone has a book in them” Have you written a book? If so, please share with us details about it. If you haven’t, what book would you like to write and how would you like it to benefit the readers?
Giovanni Brees: I wrote “The Crowdfunding Quick-Guide: Use crowdfunding to raise funds, launch your product, and increase sales” to share my expertise in crowdfunding with others.
However, I’m also working on a new book, a different topic, yet also one that is close to my heart, which focuses on health and achieving an optimal state of mind.
This book will delve into the importance of mental and physical well-being, especially in our fast-paced, digital age. I believe that maintaining a healthy body and mind is not only crucial for personal fulfillment but also for achieving success in any endeavor.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Giovanni Brees: In my experience, one of the most underestimated aspects of running a company is the importance of nurturing and maintaining a positive company culture. While it may not always be the most visible or tangible part of a business, it profoundly influences the success and well-being of the organization and its employees.
A real-life example of this underestimation can be seen in a company I once worked with as a consultant. They were highly focused on achieving their financial targets and growth milestones, leading to intense pressure and a culture prioritizing results above all else. While they initially experienced rapid growth, they soon encountered high turnover rates, decreased employee morale, and a decline in the quality of their work.
The leadership had underestimated the significance of creating a supportive and inclusive company culture. As a result, employees felt undervalued, unheard, and stressed. This had a direct impact on their productivity and job satisfaction, which ultimately affected the company’s bottom line.
Recognizing the issue, the company had to make a concerted effort to revitalize its culture. They implemented initiatives to improve communication, provide more opportunities for employee input, and promote a healthier work-life balance. Over time, this shift in focus towards nurturing a positive company culture led to increased employee retention, improved teamwork, and, ultimately, better financial performance.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Giovanni Brees: Well, on a lighter note… 😉 If I could choose a business superpower, I’d definitely go for the “Instant Coffee Machine” power! I know it might sound a bit bizarre, but hear me out.
With my trusty “Instant Coffee Machine” superpower, I’d be able to brew up a piping hot cup of coffee or tea whenever and wherever I want, instantly. Picture this: I’m in a marathon meeting, everyone’s feeling drained, and bam! I summon a delicious cup of coffee for an instant energy boost.
Or perhaps, during a brainstorming session, I magically produce a soothing chamomile tea to calm nerves and stimulate creativity.
But it doesn’t stop there! I’d use this superpower to create a cozy coffee shop atmosphere in our office, complete with comfy armchairs and the soothing hum of an espresso machine. It’s all about keeping the team caffeinated and in good spirits.
And when it comes to those tough negotiations or tricky client meetings, I’d whip up a special brew that makes everyone feel extra friendly and agreeable – we’d seal deals with a handshake and a smile.
So, you see, my “Instant Coffee Machine” superpower isn’t just about coffee; it’s about infusing positivity, energy, and a touch of humor into the business world, one cup at a time!
