We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Dark Joseph Ravine: My name is Joseph, publicly known as “Dark Joseph Ravine”. I have dedicated everything I have in my life and business to promote positivity and kindness as well as help people change their lives for the better.
My company, Kindness for Success, doubles as a media outlet as well as an online store where I sell apparel and accessories dedicated to encouraging people to promote positivity and kindness as well. The story of my business states the following:
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Dark Joseph Ravine: The greatest business achievement that I would like celebrate with my team is finding out a unique business secret of how to actually get sales in online businesses.
Usually getting customers is very hard to come by. With the help of very successful people that helped me discover this information, I feel as if I am on the path to a completely different life filled with future successes.
I always believed that all very successful people had a secret that they never shared with anyone to prevent competition, but with a lot of hard work and dedication, I have achieved this goal.
What advice do you wish you received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Dark Joseph Ravine: The advice I wish I have received when starting my business was understanding that unless people genuinely like what you are selling, you will not have an easy time succeeding.
When I started, I thought If I undertook giveaways, it would increase sales by leaps and bounds, but it did not. From this I realized that when it comes to having customers, it is mostly about genuine interest as opposed to rewards.
What I intend on improve in the next quarter is to grow my inventory with items that people are genuinely interested in, not just with Kindness for Success, but in all my business endeavors.
Here is a two fold question: What is the book that influenced you the most and how? Please share some life lessons you learned. Now what book have you gifted the most and why?
Dark Joseph Ravine: I actually have not read any books that have influenced me personally, but in terms of life lessons that I have learned, I learned that regardless of how easy a business can seem online, there is still hard and smart work that is required in it to be successful.
Business is mostly about product reputation and public interest and not exterior factors. As mentioned previously, I have not gifted books to anyone other than the children’s book I wrote myself, Watch Out! It’s Nolan.
Christopher Hitchens, an American journalist, is quoted as saying that “everyone has a book in them” Have you written a book? If so, please share with us details about it. If you haven’t, what book would you like to write and how would you like it to benefit the readers?
Dark Joseph Ravine: As mentioned previously, I did write a children’s book called, Watch Out! It’s Nolan. The idea behind this book is to teach children ages 5-9, “treat people, the way you want to be treated”, “What goes around, comes around”, and “Don’t be afraid to stand up to bullying”.
I completely agree with Hitchens that everyone does have a book inside them. My book behind Kindness for Success and my children’s book was because I was a victim of bullying myself as a child. I suffered mistreatment and a lack of kindness from people of all ages.
That is why I deigned my company and my children’s book. I wanted to see if I could make a difference not only for our future generation, but also people of all ages to learn about being good to one another and to see how much it can really make a difference in life.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Dark Joseph Ravine: The most underestimated part of running a company in my experience is when it comes to creating projects.
People say that it is important to do projects in business to show that you are passionate about what you do in your business because if you do not, then it will show that you do not have love for what you do.
All entrepreneurs must believe in their businesses and projects if they want to achieve success so I need to start focusing more on creating projects for my business. This year I have decided to work on projects to show how much I care about my business and making a difference.
That is why I wrote a children’s book to combine everything that Kindness for Success and I say personally.
What does “success” in the year to come mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Dark Joseph Ravine: What success in 2023 means to me is that I have one project or product that I have created, that goes viral and gets many sales and media attention. Of course this is something that is very hard and rare to come by and requires a lot of hard work, smart thinking, and passion.
It will never come overnight, but I never give up hope on it whether it happens in 2023 or not. As of this point, I have a unique idea for sales marketing so I just need to find a way to combine it with my projects and see what the future holds.
