We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Chris Erhardt: Thank you for having me at ValiantCEO Magazine. I’m Chris Erhardt, the COO of Bring My Song To Life, a unique company that specializes in creating custom songs for special occasions.
Our service transforms personal stories and memories into professionally produced songs, providing a one-of-a-kind gift for events like weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays.
With a background in music production and entrepreneurship, I’m passionate about combining creativity with business innovation to deliver exceptional experiences to our clients.
Can you share with us your journey towards integrating AI into your business operations?
Chris Erhardt: Before 2023, Bring My Song To Life primarily operated manually, creating around 20 songs per month. In late 2022, I began experimenting with AI to automate customer service tasks. This was a step forward, but it didn’t fully address our scalability challenge.
I then delved deeper into AI, discovering ways to automate 90% of the song creation process. This breakthrough led us to introduce AI-generated songs as a new product line.
These AI innovations allowed for significant cost reductions, resulting in more affordable prices for clients opting for AI-generated songs. Thanks to these advancements, we were able to handle hundreds of songs monthly, contributing to an over 500% growth in 2023 compared to the previous year.
What specific areas of your business have been most impacted by AI, and how?
Chris Erhardt: The integration of AI in Bring My Song To Life has revolutionized our business, particularly in product delivery. We are likely the first and only music-as-a-gift company to integrate AI for music production, enabling complete automation of the song creation process.
This technological advancement has significantly enhanced our efficiency and scalability, setting us apart in the industry.
What are the biggest obstacles you’ve faced in implementing AI, and how did you overcome them?
Chris Erhardt: Overcoming the challenges of integrating AI into Bring My Song To Life, especially in ensuring quality and authenticity in AI-generated music, has been significant.
We achieved the delicate balance between AI efficiency and the essential personal touch in our services. This is reflected in our stellar ratings on Google, where we boast a 4.9 out of 5 rating, evidencing our success in maintaining high-quality standards while embracing innovative AI solutions.
What advice would you give to other CEOs looking to integrate AI into their business?
Chris Erhardt: For CEOs looking to integrate AI, my advice is to focus on strategic alignment, ensuring AI complements your business goals. Invest in understanding the technology and its implications, prioritize ethical considerations, and be prepared for continuous learning and adaptation.
Building a team with AI expertise and fostering a culture of innovation is also crucial. Remember, AI is a tool to enhance, not replace, the human elements of your business.
How do you see AI evolving in your industry over the next 5 years?
Chris Erhardt: In the next five years, I anticipate AI in our industry will become more sophisticated in understanding and replicating human emotions in music, leading to more nuanced and personalized compositions.
Advances in machine learning could enable AI to better capture individual preferences and styles, potentially revolutionizing how personalized music is created and experienced. This evolution will likely open new avenues for creativity and efficiency in music production.
What does “success” in 2023 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Chris Erhardt: In 2023, success for us at Bring My Song To Life meant significantly surpassing our goal of doubling the business. We achieved a fivefold increase, a milestone that underscores our commitment and capability.
Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to grow even more aggressively. Our vision is to establish Music-As-A-Gift by Bring My Song To Life as a go-to choice for occasions like Valentine’s Day and anniversaries, making it as popular as traditional gifts like flowers and jewelry.
