Thank you for all that. Now for the main focus of this interview. With close to 11.000 new businesses registered daily in the US, what must an entrepreneur assume when starting a business?
Cai Liang: To start a business, you just need to know how a business works. You must have something to offer. You need an audience, you need a platform to sell, you need to connect with your audience to convince them about buying your product. You need to understand how cash flow works. You need to understand why and when people avoid spending money on products or services that you are offering.
Did you make any wrong assumptions before starting a business that you ended up paying dearly for?
Cai Liang: Yes, I’ve made some wrong on my way. I thought a product can sell itself if it is equipped with the right features. However, that’s not the reality. You always need to understand the market demand and create something that people want. Not realizing this basic truth was my silliest mistake as an entrepreneur.

Cai Liang: Maintain focus and leadership building to ensure an excellent corporate culture.
What is the worst advice you received regarding running a business and what lesson would you like others to learn from your experience?
Cai Liang: I think there is no good or bad advice, I think only whether it is suitable for the current stage of business development, I think any advice can be thought about, and combined with their business development stage to make adjustments, there is no unchanging things.
In your opinion, how has COVID-19 changed what entrepreneurs should assume before starting a business? What hasn’t changed?
