We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Amtuzehra Abbas: Amtuzehra is founder of Nakheel Organic Cotton, as a firm believer in sustainable living practices, I am passionate to promoting sustainable and supporting ethical initiatives that benefit both people and the planet.
We launched Nakheel Organic Cotton on 18th March 2022. Even as the idea of starting Nakheel took shape in our minds, we knew that sustainability would be at the core of our inception.
Any business proposition had to make sense financially and holistically for the larger community. Our team is constantly conscious that whatever we produce must be done respectfully, responsibly, and meticulously.
One often thinks about sustainability as an afterthought; however, at Nakheel, we have proactively worked this philosophy into our business model.
We at Nakheel are committed to make a change. A reason why we only use 100% GOTS certified cotton for all our products, as this enables us to deliver on the promise that when you invest with us, you can be assured to be pampered with a product that is durable, high-quality, and timeless.
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Amtuzehra Abbas: As the founder of Nakheel Organic Cotton, my greatest business achievement to date has been launching this dream project that I have worked tirelessly on for the past few years.
With a passion for sustainable and eco-friendly products, I am proud to offer organic cotton products that not only benefit the environment but also leave your worries aside about the use of harmful chemicals or dyes and feel relaxed to know that the only thing on your skin is pure goodness.
In parallel, I am proud to contribute to projects that help offset carbon emissions. Our cooperation with Green Story and Simpli Zero allows us to offer carbon neutral products, giving you the opportunity to invest in initiatives that foster stronger communities, cleaner skies, and a greener Earth.
I am driven by the positive feedback we receive from our valued customers, and view each milestone we achieve as a motivation to push ourselves further.
What advice do you wish you had received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Amtuzehra Abbas: I wish we would have received advice about marketings world. Experts advice on SEO, Influencer marketings and social media would have been very beneficial to us.
In next quarter we are focusing on improving and growing our Brand and raising awareness around sustainability and benefits of using organic cotton over traditional one.
Online business keeps on surging higher than ever, B2B, B2C, online shopping, virtual meetings, remote work, Zoom medical consultations, what are your expectations for the year to come and how are you capitalizing on the tidal wave?
Amtuzehra Abbas: During Covid-19 pandemic there has been tremendous shift in online engagement. There is great change in day to day interaction we are making. Most of things have moved online from work from home to buying things online.
Nakheel Organic cotton at the same time is completely online ecommerce business. I believe with rise in AI chatbots content generation and how we interact with customer will completely change over the next few years.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Amtuzehra Abbas: The real challenge for businesses today is to embrace sustainability as an integral aspect of their operations. Climate change is forcing us to reconsider our approach to business practices, supply chain management, and energy consumption.
By adopting renewable energy sources and prioritizing sustainability in their day-to-day operations, companies can create a competitive edge while promoting environmental stewardship. At the same time, they can create a more vibrant, prosperous world for future generations
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Amtuzehra Abbas: Engaging with customers is a crucial component that is frequently undervalued. It’s not enough to simply sell a product but also need to go above and beyond to keep their customers happy and coming back for more.
In addition to that coming up with innovating idea to grow business is also an important aspect. To engage more with customers apart from online store we usually go to weekend boutique markets to interact with customers and brand awareness.
What does “success” in 2023 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Amtuzehra Abbas: In 2023, success for me would mean having an expanding business with a loyal customer base, with whom I have developed deep relationships.
We hope that their experience with Nakheel makes them a part of our family tree, and together we can enjoy the simple luxuries of everyday life in a long, unhurried and leisurely way.
