We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Yauhen Razhko: My name is Yauhen Razhko, I’m a serial entrepreneur with a great interest in marketing, social media, and communication. Naturally, all my startups are always connected to these spheres of interest.
Hypetrain, a platform that helps launch and manage influencer marketing campaigns, is the latest company that I founded.
It makes the process of launching campaigns in collaboration with influencers simple and provides analytics that allow our customers to understand the outcome of their campaigns and improve the results. Our goal is to make influencer marketing more transparent, predictable, and fun.
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Yauhen Razhko: We launched a lot of new exciting features, like brand analytics which helps our users to learn about influencers their competitors work with and what they gain from these collaborations.
We worked a lot on making Hypetrain a convenient space for teams to work together on influencer marketing campaigns and we plan to keep improving it.
Each step forward is a milestone worth celebrating. Behind each new feature is a lot of work, and these features are what makes Hypetrain so attractive to our customers. The more attractive we are as a product, the better overall business results we are going to achieve.
The work is done by your team, the most important details of our success are people. The product is being created by them, and my personal goal as a CEO is to make the team operate in the best way possible.
What advice do you wish you had received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Yauhen Razhko: Well, first of all, let’s talk about the advice. It’s important to remember that practice is the greatest teacher. Learning through experience may be painful at times, but the returns are tremendous. So, the best advice would be to try more in order to learn faster.
Now to our plans for the next quarter. In the next quarter we expect big things to come that are going to revolutionize the market. Imagine how difficult it is to manage dozens of payments, invoices, and contracts between different influencers in different countries with different currencies.
We’re going to make it all super easy and fast with a couple of new features – we are about to implement our own contracting and automated payment tools into our platform.
Also, in the next quarter we are finalizing our full-cycle solution which allows our customers to execute all the tasks around their influencer marketing campaigns in one place hassle free.
It means that within Hypetrain they can search for influencers, view analytics, create campaigns, collaborate with colleagues, communicate with influencers, draft contracts, and transfer payments. And one more interesting feature to come is content boosting which is gonna be a huge trend soon.
Online business keeps on surging higher than ever, B2B, B2C, online shopping, virtual meetings, remote work, Zoom medical consultations, what are your expectations for the year to come and how are you capitalizing on the tidal wave?
Yauhen Razhko: I’m an expert in influencer marketing and I can and should be talking about this sector. At Hypetrain, we see the synergy of influencer marketing and content boosting as the new powerful trend of great interest.
Numbers show that if you pay an influencer for a post and then add a 30% of that budget to boost the post additionally, you’ll have a 3x outcome as the result. I think that it’s rather impressive and a lot of businesses will want to try it.
Naturally, we, at Hypetrain, are already working on implementing the trend into our platform by adding the necessary features for it. We want to make it easy for companies and agencies to be able to utilize the power of influencer content and paid promotion.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Yauhen Razhko: As I said earlier, we are launching a few new features and finalizing our full-cycle solution. So, the challenge for Hypetrain’s team right now is to complete these processes within the planned timings and deliver the best results.
If we create a sought-after product with great user experience that delivers the results that our clients want, Hypetrain will flourish.
So, there’s no bigger challenge than making the best product on the market by extensive user research, adding outstanding features, and making it all work smoothly. And this challenge never goes away, it’s not temporary.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Yauhen Razhko: I guess, I’m going through all the same things as other entrepreneurs. I think that experienced founders underestimate nothing and have a holistic approach to running their companies.
But, if we are speaking about those with no experience as an entrepreneur or who are first-time founders, it seems to me that fundraising is often viewed as something easy when it’s actually not.
There are always people who believe that fundraising is mostly about emailing your pitch deck to investors or having a drink with them at some meetup.
They think that investors can immediately recognize their company as a great asset and give them money right away. However, in reality it takes a lot of effort to convince investors to give money to your project.
You need to research them thoroughly in order to find perfect matches. Then you need to find a way to approach them and do it a few times with numerous follow-ups. Waiting for their decision may be an anxious period.
Moreover, it’s not that you can stop after getting your first funding. It’s highly likely that you’ll have to go through that again and again.
What does “success” in 2023 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
Yauhen Razhko: My personal success is now tightly linked to the success of Hypetrain because it’s something that has become an inseparable part of my life. So, naturally, for me success is seeing my company grow and bloom.
It means that if I keep leading Hypetrain to its further growth and getting positive feedback from our customers, I feel that I am succeeding.
We hope to get more new active users and we invest a lot of effort into creating educational content about influencer marketing to help our potential clients understand the power of it.
