We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Veena Ramaswamy: Thank you! It’s a pleasure to be here. I’m Veena, an executive coach dedicated to helping corporate leaders and high-performing professionals elevate their careers and leadership brands. Through Beyoutifully Empower Coaching & Consulting, I guide executives through career transitions, leadership development, and personal branding strategies that position them for high-impact roles. My approach is holistic, blending strategic career moves with emotional intelligence, visibility, and influence—so my clients don’t just land their next role, but step into it as confident, purpose-driven leaders.
For me, this work is not just a career—it’s my calling. I know what it feels like to be in a career that looks successful on paper but lacks meaning and alignment. That’s why my mission is to help leaders create careers that are not only financially rewarding but also deeply fulfilling and impactful. I believe that when executives lead from a place of authenticity and purpose, they not only achieve greater success but also inspire those around them.
One of the biggest challenges executives face today is standing out in an evolving and competitive job market. Traditional career growth strategies—waiting for promotions, relying on recruiters, or simply applying to job postings—are no longer enough. Leaders need a powerful personal brand that communicates their impact, expertise, and vision.
That’s where my coaching comes in. I help executives refine their leadership messaging, career narrative, and industry presence to position themselves as high-value leaders. Whether it’s optimizing their LinkedIn presence, networking with purpose, or crafting a career strategy that attracts opportunities, I ensure my clients don’t just chase the next role—they create a lasting professional legacy.
Beyond personal branding, I work with leaders on navigating complex career decisions, strengthening executive presence, and making strategic career moves with confidence. My approach ensures they don’t just climb the corporate ladder but do so in a way that aligns with their values, vision, and long-term goals.
At the core of my work is the belief that career success is not just about getting ahead—it’s about creating impact, leading with authenticity, and designing a career that truly reflects who you are. That’s the transformation I help my clients achieve.
If you were in an elevator with Warren Buffett, how would you describe your company, your services or products? What makes your company different from others? What is your company’s biggest strength?
Veena Ramaswamy: Beyoutifully Empower Coaching & Consulting is where high-performing executives stop playing small and start owning their leadership potential. I help senior professionals and executives position themselves as top-tier leaders—whether they’re aiming for the C-suite, transitioning industries, or building a powerful leadership brand. In today’s market, talent alone isn’t enough—you need strategic positioning, executive presence, and the ability to articulate your unique value. That’s exactly what I help my clients master.
What makes my company different?
Most executive coaching focuses on surface-level tactics—resumes, LinkedIn, and interviews. I go deeper. I help leaders shift from seeking opportunities to attracting them by refining their personal brand, industry visibility, and strategic connections. My approach isn’t about short-term wins—it’s about long-term career power and positioning leaders for sustained success in roles that truly align with their purpose and impact.
What is my company’s biggest strength?
Clarity, confidence, and positioning. I help executives cut through the noise, articulate their leadership value, and command the roles they deserve—without burnout, second-guessing, or wasted time. My coaching empowers leaders to own their narrative, elevate their influence, and move with strategy and intention in a competitive landscape. When you work with me, you don’t just get the next job—you build a career that’s aligned, lucrative, and built for long-term success.
Quiet quitting, The Great Resignation, is an ongoing trend causing many businesses to struggle to keep talent engaged and motivated. Most are leaving because of their boss or their company culture. 82% of people feel unheard, undervalued, and misunderstood in the workplace. In your experience, what keeps employees happy? And how are you adapting to the current shift we see?
Veena Ramaswamy: In my experience, what keeps employees happy is authentic leadership—leaders who foster trust, empower their teams, and create an environment where individuals feel valued, heard, and understood. When employees feel like their contributions are meaningful and their voices are being genuinely considered, it fosters a culture of loyalty, motivation, and collaboration. This is key to combating issues like quiet quitting and high turnover rates.
For me, leadership excellence is at the core of this. I believe in leading with integrity, cultivating a transformational culture, and creating a safe space for vulnerability. When employees feel psychologically safe to express their ideas, challenges, and ambitions without fear of judgment, it leads to deeper engagement and better performance. This kind of culture isn’t just about pushing for results—it’s about cultivating a sense of purpose and belonging within the organization.
Collaboration also plays a significant role. Encouraging cross-functional teamwork and open communication helps build strong relationships among employees, making them feel part of something bigger than just their individual tasks. It’s these deeper connections that sustain motivation and morale in the long run.
As the workplace continues to shift, I’m adapting by encouraging leaders to embrace vulnerability and authenticity in their leadership style, ensuring that their teams feel like more than just employees—they are valued partners. By focusing on leading with empathy and purpose, we can build organizations where people thrive, not just survive. This approach aligns with the transformational leadership I coach executives to embody—shifting from traditional authoritative models to ones that inspire growth, ownership, and a deep connection to the company’s mission
Online business keeps on surging higher than ever, B2B, B2C, online shopping, virtual meetings, remote work, Zoom medical consultations, what are your expectations for the year to come and how are you capitalizing on the tidal wave?
Veena Ramaswamy: The surge in online business, from B2B and B2C to remote work and virtual consultations, has created tremendous opportunities for growth and innovation. My expectations for the year ahead are that we’ll continue to see this digital transformation accelerate, with businesses increasingly embracing remote work, online solutions, and virtual interactions as the norm, not the exception. With that, adaptability and scalability will be essential for businesses to thrive in an increasingly virtual world.
As an executive coach, I’m capitalizing on this tidal wave by expanding my reach from B2C to B2B. While I’ve always worked with individuals to help them align their careers and leadership with their values, I’m now focusing on helping organizations build transformative cultures that foster leadership excellence and create spaces where employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated.
With the growing demand for virtual connections, I’m enhancing my offerings through virtual webinars, workshops, and meetings—allowing executives and corporate leaders to access high-value coaching and training from anywhere. This enables me to scale my services while also creating impactful, flexible experiences for clients, whether they are individuals or entire teams.
Additionally, the shift toward virtual meetings and coaching has opened doors for global expansion. I’m able to connect with clients across industries and borders, helping them navigate leadership challenges, career transitions, and organizational changes, all while providing actionable, real-time insights.
As we continue to ride this digital wave, I’m also integrating more AI-powered tools into my coaching process, further enhancing how I deliver value and ensuring that my clients stay ahead of the curve in their leadership journeys. By staying agile, adopting the latest technologies, and continuing to provide transformative, virtual learning experiences, I’m positioning my business to grow, adapt, and deliver exceptional value in the year to come.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Veena Ramaswamy: The real challenge right now is navigating the shift in leadership and workforce dynamics. As businesses evolve, especially with the surge in remote work and digital transformation, there’s an increasing need for leaders to adapt to new ways of managing teams, maintaining engagement, and driving results in a more distributed, often virtual, environment.
Many leaders are facing the challenge of maintaining organizational culture, ensuring team cohesion, and fostering a sense of belonging—especially when teams are spread across different time zones or working from home. In addition, there’s an overarching challenge around ensuring that employees feel valued, heard, and understood, which is critical to overcoming issues like quiet quitting, disengagement, and burnout.
For executives, the challenge is not just about adapting to this new landscape but doing so in a way that aligns with their values and leadership style. Leaders today are expected to be more empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and capable of navigating complexity—while still driving business results.
At Beyoutifully Empower Coaching & Consulting, I’m helping executives overcome these challenges by focusing on transformational leadership—leading with authenticity, vulnerability, and empathy while creating cultures where employees thrive. This means encouraging leaders to build trust, embrace open communication, and inspire collaboration in a virtual or hybrid setting. The key opportunity here is for leaders to evolve into visionary architects of culture and create a work environment that not only adapts to change but actively drives it. By embracing these changes and challenges, businesses can transform obstacles into opportunities for deeper engagement, growth, and long-term success.
In your experience, what tends to be the most underestimated part of running a company? Can you share an example?
Veena Ramaswamy: In my experience, the most underestimated part of running a company is building and nurturing a strong organizational culture, even if you’re a solopreneur. Early on in my entrepreneurial journey, when I started my coaching business at 30, I was hyper-focused on growing the business—landing clients, generating revenue, and expanding my services. What I didn’t realize at the time was the importance of creating a personal culture—a foundational mindset that aligned with my values and vision.
As I scaled my business, I became overwhelmed, stressed, and at times felt isolated. It wasn’t until I started investing in personal development and surrounding myself with mentors that I began to realize the importance of creating a culture of authenticity, integrity, and alignment within my business. This shift in mindset helped me stop chasing opportunities and start attracting the right ones that matched my values. By creating a culture that was aligned with who I truly was and what I wanted to achieve, I was able to overcome burnout and scale in a way that felt more sustainable and fulfilling.
This experience taught me that culture doesn’t just apply to a team—it’s crucial for the leader too. Without a solid foundation of personal culture, it becomes difficult to stay motivated and focused, and you can easily lose sight of your greater purpose. That’s why I now prioritize helping leaders and executives build a strong, aligned culture, not just for their companies, but for themselves.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Veena Ramaswamy: If I could pick any business superpower, it would be the ability to instantly align people with their true purpose and vision—helping them discover exactly what drives them and how they can make the greatest impact in their work.
I’d put this superpower into practice by helping leaders and professionals cut through the noise of everyday tasks and external expectations. They’d be able to make decisions, communicate, and lead with unshakable confidence because they’d have total clarity on their authentic selves and their goals.
In a world where so many people feel burned out or stuck, this superpower would allow me to guide individuals and teams to create more fulfilling careers, thriving businesses, and purpose-driven cultures—without the overwhelm or second-guessing. Every action, project, and leadership move would stem from a deep sense of alignment, ensuring both personal and professional success while making a real impact in the world.
What does “success” in 2024 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision
Veena Ramaswamy: For me, success in 2025 is about alignment, abundance, and freedom—in both my personal life and business. It’s aligning my personal values with my professional goals, ensuring that every decision I make, whether in business or life, reflects that authenticity. Success is about embracing transformation, both in my own journey and in the journeys of those I serve, creating deeper impact and helping others unlock their fullest potential in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
On a personal level, success means experiencing greater balance—achieving harmony between work, health, relationships, and passions, all while fostering an environment of abundance. It’s creating the space to enjoy the freedom to live life fully, without the constraints of overwhelm or burnout. It’s about having the time and energy to do what truly lights me up.
On a business level, success means expanding my coaching practice to be even more scalable, transformative, and aligned. It’s about helping more executives, leaders, and professionals step into their own abundance—not just in terms of financial growth, but in fulfillment, impact, and freedom in their careers. I aim to guide them toward the confidence and clarity to redefine success on their own terms, create meaningful results, and live with freedom from stress, overwork, and burnout.
Ultimately, success in 2025 is about creating lasting change that enables both myself and my clients to thrive in ways that are deeply connected to our core values, vision, and sense of abundance. It’s about living a life where we have the freedom to make choices that reflect our truest selves, and where our work contributes to a more abundant, impactful, and purpose-driven world.
