Artificial intelligence made strides last year. Regarding its versatile implementation, AI products are pretty useful and can replace the work of some specialties. Some of the growing AI has shaken the world for its human-like communication. It is about ChatGPT. However, industry leaders are worried about its current upgrade, which has gone too far. The Founding Partner of the tech company Roosh, Sergey Tokarev, commented on risks and the expected future in IT, particularly, in Ukraine.
Recent AI launches
A few years ago, the IT industry started developing “smart” models that might help people solve different issues faster and with less force. This era has started, and ChatGPT is proof of it. It seems everyone has been waiting for such an outcome, but nobody could imagine how far it could reach.
ChatGPT is a conversational chatbot that produces human-like answers and creative messages. It is an OpenAI product launched in November 2022. Currently, the chatbot is upgraded to GPT4. Sergey Tokarev notes that this AI product is quick to learn and improve every day. It reproduces almost everything when typing in the right and precise request. Also, it can represent tech codes and draw pictures. The businessman ensures that each iteration of the GPT4 will improve more and more.
What made IT experts worry about?
Such a significant breakthrough yet unexpected fast growth has resulted in many discussions and controversies. Many industry experts, including Elon Musk, were concerned with the uncontrolled performance of OpenAI’s release. They called other similar projects for a six-month pause. They justified their request that AI on such a scale can bring potential risks to humanity at large. According to Sergey Tokarev, if such an issue shows up, it is crucial to look for solutions to control AI urgently. The investor added that not miltech but AI had become the most significant global ethic problem.
The urge of GPT4 has brought some creative specialties at risk. Designers, programmers, and copywriters can lose their spots in companies. Furthermore, some giant companies feel insecure about withstanding their reputation. Tokarev exemplifies Google, and he anticipates that its shares will be falling in the near future. He also reckons that Microsoft has all chances to catch Google in 2-3 years.
What is other IT progress?
Apart from the recent AI launch, Sergey Tokarev notices biotech as one of the progressive areas. For example, BigMind works on protein synthesis, which is fundamental for humankind.
Other solid achievements are expected to be done in big data. The entrepreneur had an opportunity to meet many scientists on big data and find out that they use AI partly, only to generate various modeling situations. Then, they choose the best one to continue with experiments.
Sergey Tokarev admits that the world has been divided into ample categories. The first category includes people who write algorithms; the second incorporates those who use them daily. He believes that Ukraine will be primarily engaged in the first category.
