We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Noah Koff: I partner with visionary founder CEOs to realize their full vision, taking them from overstretched with slow growth to hitting their peak performance.
My next level business program helps my clients clarify goals and I meet them where they are with the next goal to accomplish.
I consult for Sequoia VC backed companies and my work has been recognized on the INC5000 fastest growing companies list. My coaching is a great fit for a leader who is great with ideas and sometimes without execution to get to the next level. I believe that the best way to turbo charge life is to discover your genius area and lean into it. My wisdom comes from decades working for respected agencies and product companies big and small in Portland, San Francisco, New York City and London.
If you were in an elevator with Warren Buffet, how would you describe your company, your services or products? What makes your company different from others? What is your company’s biggest strength?
Noah Koff: I’m a business coach consultant who helps visionary founders realize their full vision. My focus is scale-ups and systematically taking companies from 1-10.
My biggest strength is helping the founder with peak performance and 100x impact for their world changing ideas. Mt secret sauce is coaching and training with mental fitness so the founder has better self command to deal with everyday life challenges in a positive rather than negative way.
What advice do you wish you received when you started your business journey and what do you intend on improving in the next quarter?
Noah Koff: The advice I wish I had received when I was starting out was to work with regular mentors who can help you with tools and techniques to develop and change. As an entrepreneur you really need people who can help you see around corners and blind spots and stop you from getting in the way of yourself. Next quarter I intend to improve my skills selling a new offer focused on fundraising.
Here is a two fold question: What is the book that influenced you the most and how? Please share some life lessons you learned. Now what book have you gifted the most and why?
Noah Koff: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is an amazing book about personal freedom. I no longer take things as personally or make assumptions about people like I did before. My favorite philosophy from the book is simply to do your best. So powerful to have this ancient wisdom.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as THE real challenge right now?
Noah Koff: The real challenge is adapting to what my clients need, asking them often about how I can make my product better. Listening. And then making changes. And asking again for feedback. This approach keeps me ahead of the market, by innovating and being nimble.
2020, 2021, 2022 threw a lot of curve balls into businesses on a global scale. Based on the experience gleaned in the past years, how can businesses thrive in 2023? What lessons have you learned and what advice would you share?
Noah Koff: I’ve learned about the importance of updating marketing messaging regularly, ensuring you are clear and relevant for your target audience. To have peak performance it’s important to continually test new way to get your strategy really working. Knowing your numbers all the time and what success looks like. When things don’t work out how you want, don’t beat yourself up, make a pivot and keep going.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
Noah Koff: My business superpower is empathy. I put myself in my client shoes and have compassion for what they are going through. This helps me meet them where they are with the next goal they need to get where they want to go.
This is also why I trained as a mental fitness PQ coach, so I can help clients have the peace of mind and healthy relationships they need for peak performance in life. I’m passionate about helping clients strengthen the muscles they need to be their best self and do their best work.
