Company: LaGrande Marketing

We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company

Mushfiq Sarker: My name is Mushfiq Sarker, I’m the CEO of Lagrande Marketing. My background is a little unconventional for this industry. I simultaneously built my career in digital marketing while earning my BSc, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering. So I come at this from a very data-driven, technical perspective, with over 15 years of experience spanning SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing.

At Lagrande Marketing, we work specifically with law firms because it’s a space where the right digital strategy can make an enormous difference. Attorneys are incredibly talented at what they do, but growing a practice online is a whole different skill set, and that’s exactly where we come in.

How do you personally define success, and how has that definition evolved throughout your career?

Mushfiq Sarker: When I was younger, success was all about numbers. Revenue, rankings, measurable outcomes. That engineering mindset drove everything. But over the years that definition has shifted significantly. Today I define success by the impact I have on the people around me, my team, my clients, and my family. If a law firm comes to us struggling and leaves thriving, that means more to me than any revenue milestone ever could. Balance and purpose have become just as important as performance.

What lasting impact do you hope to leave through your business, and what steps are you taking to build that legacy?

Mushfiq Sarker: I want Lagrande Marketing to be known as the agency that genuinely moved the needle for law firms in an ethical and consistent way. There is so much noise in this industry and so many broken promises. I want the attorneys we have worked with to look back and say that partnering with us was one of the best business decisions they ever made. We build that legacy the same way every day, by delivering real results, investing in our team, and never losing sight of why we started. Legacy is just consistency compounded over time.

Beyond financial success, what initiatives—whether in mentorship, sustainability, or social responsibility—are you most proud of?

Mushfiq Sarker: Beyond the business side, what I’m most proud of is being a resource for other entrepreneurs who are earlier in their journey. I’ve been very open about sharing what has worked and what hasn’t, whether through conversations, content, or just being accessible to people who reach out. I came from a background where I had to figure out almost everything on my own, so if I can shorten that learning curve for even one person, that feels meaningful to me. That’s the mentorship piece I care deeply about.

What lessons have you learned about leadership that you wish more entrepreneurs understood early on?

Mushfiq Sarker: Something that I wish more entrepreneurs understood early is this: your job is not to be the smartest person in the room. Your job is to build the room. I spent too much of my early career trying to have all the answers and do everything myself. Real leadership is about creating an environment where talented people can do their best work. The sooner you learn to hire people who are better than you in their specific lane and then trust them, the faster everything grows. That shift in mindset is the difference between building a job for yourself and building an actual business.

Looking ahead, how do you see your industry evolving, and what role do you hope to play in shaping its future?

Mushfiq Sarker: Digital marketing is evolving faster than ever, and honestly AI is the biggest force driving that change right now. The agencies that are going to survive the next five to ten years are the ones that figure out how to blend AI driven efficiency with genuine human strategy and creativity. The tools are getting smarter but the thinking still has to come from people who truly understand the client’s world. For us that means staying ahead of the curve technically while doubling down on the deep industry knowledge we have built around law firms.

The role I hope to play is pretty simple. I want Lagrande Marketing to be the model that other agencies look at and say, that’s how you do it right. Niche down, know your client’s business better than they do, use data to drive every decision, and never chase shortcuts. I also want to continue being a voice in the conversation around ethical and transparent digital marketing, because this industry has a reputation problem in some areas and I think those of us who are doing it the right way have a responsibility to speak up and raise the standard for everyone.
