Could you share the journey that led you to where you are today, and what originally sparked your passion for this field?
Michael Forman: My journey started when I was in the Air Force. Then owning my own businesses (Graphic Design Studio, Pizza Parlor, Restaurants). I then went into corporate where I worked in the Mortgage industry and the Law field. My passion is to help people navigate business and personal life with proper techniques of networking and communication.
Was there a specific turning point or ‘aha’ moment that shaped your approach or fueled the creation of your product/strategy?
Michael Forman: No real aha moment. It was just building of 10 or 12 years.
What were some of the biggest hurdles you faced in establishing your authority, and how did you navigate those challenges?
Michael Forman: I was always the face of the company. Whomever I was working for. My hurdle for establishing my credibility was getting seen and heard. I navigated this by training, learning and practicing. I got better and better.
What is the core problem your solution addresses, and why do you believe your approach is uniquely effective?
Michael Forman: Ever since the pandemic started people have been shut in. They rely on their cell phones and Zoom to communicate with one another. They replaced the personal interactivity with technology. I go around the country, universities and yes even high schools and explain the power of networking and communication.
Could you share a compelling example or case study that illustrates how your product/strategy delivers results?
Michael Forman: As I showed my coaching students that the proper way to communicate and network they began to realize that what I was saying was correct. After about 4 weeks one of my students said “hey this networking stuff works”. What sets you apart from others in your industry, and how do you maintain a competitive edge?
Michael Forman: Nobody is talking about this. I can’t understand it. When I reach whomever is interested in my talk they always say how important it is. My competitive edge is I mix a little story telling in and I make it relatable to my audience.
Where do you see your industry heading in the next few years, and what emerging trends should our audience pay attention to?
Michael Forman: The need for true Networking and Communication will never go away. Every one needs it. I have a “secret sauce” to my follow up and it is necessary to compete in the world today.
Are there any must-have tools, resources, or habits that have significantly contributed to your success?
Michael Forman: You can start with a Spreadsheet for your CRM to keep track of your progress, The only thing you need to do is go out there and begin to network.
In your experience, which metrics or indicators best reflect meaningful progress and success in your line of work? *
Michael Forman: There is a saying with Networking. If they know you, like you and trust you they will do business with you. Once you have established the trust it all becomes easier. You consistency and your follow-up is key.
What upcoming projects, initiatives, or developments are you most excited about, and how do they tie into your long-term vision?
Michael Forman: Speaking on stages. Getting to the young adults and starting them out correctly on the business journey.
