Company: Achievable
We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Justin Pincar: I’m a serial technology entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for education, engineering, and student success. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to design and scale products used by billions – ranging from adaptive learning platforms to enterprise-grade systems for Fortune 500 companies and top universities. Today, I’m the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Achievable, a modern exam preparation company that uses AI and personalized learning to help students pass high-stakes exams with confidence.
What drives me is building elegant, effective tools that make a real impact – especially in education, where the stakes are so high for individual learners. Outside of Achievable, I advise businesses across industries on technical strategy, mentor engineers, and love to unwind at the indoor golf driving range.
What specific areas of your business have been most impacted by AI, and how?
Justin Pincar: The biggest impact has been on our learning platform itself. Our adaptive learning engine leverages AI to personalize study paths for each student – identifying knowledge gaps, optimizing review timing, and boosting long-term retention. This has led to higher engagement and better pass rates, which is ultimately what we care about most.
Operationally, AI has also helped us scale more efficiently. We use generative tools to assist in content creation, proofreading, and quality control, speeding up production without sacrificing accuracy. On the support side, AI-driven chat tools help handle common student questions instantly, freeing our team to focus on more complex, high-touch interactions. Overall, AI has helped us deliver a more personalized, scalable, and responsive experience – both for learners and our internal team.
How are you ensuring ethical considerations are taken into account in your use of AI?
Justin Pincar: Ethics in AI isn’t optional – it’s foundational, especially in education where trust is everything. At Achievable, we view AI as a tool that supports the essential human elements of learning: expert instruction, personalized coaching, and meaningful engagement. AI helps us scale and streamline certain tasks, but the real value comes from how it amplifies the work of educators and support staff.
It’s similar to how art has evolved – from paintbrushes to digital software, the tools have changed, but the artist’s vision still drives the outcome. In our case, AI enhances the learning process, but it’s the expert-designed content and thoughtful human interaction that make it effective, empathetic, and ethical.
What advice would you give to other CEOs looking to integrate AI into their business?
Justin Pincar: Start with the problem, not the hype. AI is powerful, but it’s not a magic fix – it works best when it’s applied to well-understood challenges with clear goals. Identify where your team is spending time on repetitive or scalable tasks, and explore how AI can support – not replace – those workflows.
Also, involve your team early. The best outcomes come when AI enhances human strengths, not when it’s imposed from the top down. Think of AI like a new instrument in your business orchestra: it can change the sound, but only works if it plays in harmony with the rest. Build thoughtfully, test carefully, and don’t lose sight of the people AI is meant to serve.
How do you see AI evolving in your industry over the next 5 years?
Justin Pincar: AI will fundamentally reshape how people learn – making education more personalized, responsive, and accessible than ever before. In the next five years, we’ll see platforms that adapt in real-time to a student’s emotional state, cognitive load, and progress, delivering not just content but guidance that feels truly individualized.
At the same time, the role of educators and subject matter experts will become even more important. AI can handle the scale and repetition, but it can’t replace the empathy, mentorship, and critical thinking that great teachers provide. The most successful companies in our space will be the ones that blend cutting-edge AI with human-centered design – ensuring students feel supported, not just processed.
