We are thrilled to have you join us today, Jason! First, can you tell us what The Collective Genius is all about and what makes it unique?
Jason Medley: The Collective Genius is a community where high-caliber real estate investors share their most intimate secrets, strategies, resources, and systems.
We meet quarterly to brainstorm and help each other navigate the ever-changing housing market.
What makes us unique is our focus on actionable connections and structured support. We ensure that every member gets the help they need to overcome their specific challenges.
How did you come up with the idea for The Collective Genius?
Jason Medley: The idea came from my own experiences in real estate in vesting. I realized that while individual success is great, there’s immense power in the community.
By bringing together the best minds in real estate, we can all achieve more.
I wanted to create a space where investors could learn from each other, share resources, and truly elevate their businesses.

You’ve mentioned the hot seat process. Can you explain how that works and how it benefits your members?
Jason Medley: Sure. During our meetings, each member takes a turn in the hot seat, where they share their biggest challenges and what they need help with.
Other members then provide insights, strategies, and resources. We don’t just stop there; we document these interactions and ensure that follow-ups and connections are made after the meeting.
This structured approach ensures that every member leaves with actionable solutions and support.
Networking is a big part of what you do. Can you give an example of how a connection made through The Collective Genius has impacted a member’s business?
Jason Medley: One of our members, Eric Brewer, was primarily focused on retail rehabs.
Through connections made at CG, he was introduced to turnkey rental providers and was able to expand his business model significantly.
He connected with other members who helped him refine his approach, and now he’s doing over 50 turnkey deals a year.
These connections have not only increased his revenue but also diversified his business.

What are some of the core values that drive The Collective Genius?
Jason Medley: Our core values are integrity, community, and being a go-giver.
We emphasize honoring our word, supporting each other through challenges, and giving back without expecting anything in return.
These values create a culture of trust and collaboration, which is essential for our members to thrive.
It’s clear that you’ve built something special. What advice would you give to someone looking to join a mastermind group or community like yours?
Jason Medley: My advice would be to find a group that aligns with your values and goals. Look for a community that not only has high-caliber members but also focuses on real, actionable support.
It’s important to join a group where you can both contribute and receive help. The right mastermind can accelerate your growth and help you achieve things you wouldn’t be able to on your own.
Finally, where can people learn more about The Collective Genius and potentially join?
Jason Medley: They can visit our website at www.thecollectivegenius.com. There, they’ll find more information about our community, our values, and the process for joining.
We have a laid-back application process where we get to know potential members and see if they’re a good fit for our culture and goals.
