To begin, please share your story with us.
Cindy Witteman: My story is one of resilience, transformation, and empowerment. I started as a single mother struggling financially, often wondering how I would make it through. In my twenties, I sold plasma just to get by and witnessed financial struggles within my family. Those experiences ignited a deep desire for change. When I discovered self-development tools like Think and Grow Rich, I learned the power of gratitude and positive thinking, which became the foundation for my transformation.
Fear has been a constant companion on my journey, especially my fear of public speaking. But I refused to let it define me. I made the decision to “do it afraid,” embracing every opportunity to speak until I conquered that fear. That same determination has shaped every step of my journey.
In 2017 I founded Driving Single Parents Inc. to help others like me regain independence. By providing reliable family vehicles, I’m able to give single parents the tools they need to rebuild their lives. Through my work with FORCE Magazine, my Little Give – TV Show, and my Is Manifesting Bullshit? podcast, I’ve created platforms to share stories, inspire change, and make a difference.
Today, I’m living a life I never could have imagined back then. I’m a bestselling author, a TV host, and an advocate for empowerment. I have a blended family I adore, a passion for travel, and a thriving career that allows me to create opportunities for others. My story is proof that no matter where you start, with perseverance, belief, and a little courage, you can transform your life.
Your message is one of incredible resilience and fortitude in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. How did your life experiences shape your perspective on success and your drive to help others?
Cindy Witteman: My life experiences have completely shaped my perspective on success and my drive to help others. Growing up, I witnessed financial struggles that made stability seem almost out of reach. As a single mom, I faced my own battles—juggling responsibilities, making sacrifices, and doing whatever it took to provide for my family. I’ve lived through moments of desperation, like selling plasma just to make ends meet, and those moments taught me that success isn’t just about money or status; it’s about resilience, resourcefulness, and finding hope in the darkest times.
Seeing my father achieve financial stability later in life gave me a glimpse of what was possible. It made me realize that change is always within reach, but it requires action and a mindset shift. When I began my self-development journey, I learned the importance of gratitude, hard work, and believing in possibilities even when circumstances seemed stacked against me. Those lessons became my foundation for defining success—not as something material, but as the ability to overcome challenges, live authentically, and lift others up along the way.
Helping others became a natural extension of my own journey. I know what it feels like to struggle, and I don’t want anyone else to feel alone in their challenges. That’s why I started Driving Single Parents Inc., to give others the tools to rebuild their lives. Through my nonprofit, magazine, TV show, and podcast, I aim to share stories and create opportunities that empower others to believe in themselves and take the steps to change their lives.
To me, success is about creating a ripple effect—turning my own pain and perseverance into a source of hope and inspiration for others.
As an Action Mastery Coach, what is the most common hurdle you see people face, and how do you help them move past it?
Cindy Witteman: As an Action Mastery Coach, the most common hurdle I see people face is self-doubt—that little voice that tells them they’re not good enough, smart enough, or capable of achieving their goals. This doubt often keeps people stuck in a cycle of overthinking and inaction, fearing failure or judgment if they take a step forward.
You’ve mentioned overcoming self-sabotage in your journey in features and your TV Show: Little Give. What advice would you give to someone struggling with self-doubt or fear of failure? Is this something you support your clients through as a Coach?
Cindy Witteman: Overcoming self-doubt and fear of failure is something I deeply understand, both through my personal journey and my work as a coach. Self-sabotage often stems from fears—fear of failing, fear of judgment, or even fear of success—and it can feel paralyzing. The first step is to acknowledge and understand the fear. Ask yourself, “What’s the worst that can happen?” More often than not, the answer is far less catastrophic than it seems. From there, it’s important to reframe those negative beliefs that feed self-doubt. Instead of saying, “I can’t do this,” try, “I haven’t learned how to do this yet.” Shifting your mindset from limitation to possibility is a game-changer. Taking imperfect action is another essential step. Waiting for the perfect time or conditions only keeps you stuck, but small, intentional steps forward—even if you’re scared—build momentum and confidence. I also emphasize the importance of celebrating small wins. Every step forward is progress, and acknowledging those moments creates positive energy to keep going. Surrounding yourself with supportive people is equally crucial. Having a community or a coach who believes in you and holds you accountable can make all the difference. As a coach, I guide my clients through these challenges by helping them identify self-sabotaging patterns, reframing their beliefs, and taking actionable steps toward their goals. Fear and self-doubt are normal parts of growth, but they don’t have to define or limit us. It’s not about eliminating fear—it’s about acting despite it. When you do that, you uncover your strength and resilience, and that’s where true transformation happens.

Your TV show, Little Give TV, celebrates everyday heroes and nonprofits. What has been your most memorable interview? Why?
Cindy Witteman: One of my most memorable interviews on Little Give was with Staci Wright, the visionary entrepreneur behind Heart Profit. Her journey is incredibly moving and speaks to the deep, transformative power of compassion in business. Staci’s story, born from personal loss and her drive to serve others, resonates deeply with me. Her ability to turn adversity into a powerful, mission-driven business that prioritizes empathy and human connection is a testament to the impact that compassion can have in the business world.
In our conversation, Staci shared the core principles behind Heart Profit, which emphasize the well-being of employees, families, and communities as integral parts of sustainable business success. From on-site childcare to mental health education, Heart Profit is reshaping how we think about workplace culture and social responsibility. What struck me most was how Staci reframed business practices, not just as a means to profit, but as a vehicle for addressing societal challenges and fostering genuine connection.
Her focus on mental health, stress management, and creating a supportive workplace environment challenges conventional views of business as a purely transactional entity. Staci’s vulnerability in sharing her own struggles and triumphs, combined with her groundbreaking work in promoting heart-based business practices, left a lasting impression on me. It was a beautiful reminder of how business can—and should—be a force for good, prioritizing people over profits and leading with compassion. That interview is one I will always remember, not just for the valuable insights but for the inspiration it continues to provide in reshaping how we define success.
As a 5x bestselling author, how do you hope your books will impact people? What themes do you find yourself returning to?
Cindy Witteman: As a 5x bestselling author, my primary hope is that my books serve as a source of inspiration, encouragement, and empowerment for people who may be facing challenges in their lives. I want readers to feel understood, motivated, and equipped to make positive changes in their own journeys. Through my writing, I aim to show that no matter how tough things may get, perseverance, self-belief, and a shift in mindset can lead to transformation. Whether someone is struggling with personal adversity, self-doubt, or a difficult life transition, I hope my books help them realize they are not alone and that they have the power to create the life they desire.
The themes I return to most often in my books revolve around resilience, personal growth, manifesting, and the power of mindset. I consistently explore how people can rise above their circumstances, overcome self-limiting beliefs, and harness the power of their thoughts to manifest the life they want. Manifesting is a key focus—how aligning thoughts, actions, and energy can bring dreams to reality. Another key theme I focus on is empowerment through service—how helping others, whether through acts of kindness or creating opportunities, not only benefits those around us but also fuels our own sense of purpose and fulfillment. I also touch on the importance of vulnerability and authenticity, encouraging readers to embrace their true selves and let go of the fear of judgment.
Ultimately, my books are meant to serve as guides for anyone who wants to break free from their past, challenge the limitations they’ve placed on themselves, and step into a life that’s aligned with their deepest values and dreams—using the power of manifesting to create lasting change.
Your journey to success has included stepping out of your comfort zone repeatedly. Share an example of a risk you took that paid off unexpectedly.
Cindy Witteman: One of the most significant risks I took was founding my nonprofit, Driving Single Parents Inc. At the time, I had recently left a domestic violence situation and was still rebuilding my own stability. The idea of starting an organization to help others, when I was still navigating my own challenges, felt overwhelming. I didn’t have a roadmap, substantial funding, or guarantees that it would work. All I had was a deep desire to make a difference for single parents who were struggling, just as I had been.
Despite my doubts, I took the leap, pouring my time, energy, and limited resources into launching the nonprofit. The mission was simple but powerful: to provide reliable vehicles to single parents, giving them a chance to regain independence and stability. At first, progress was slow, and I questioned whether I had taken on too much. But soon, the impact became undeniable. Seeing the relief and joy on a parent’s face when they received a car—the gratitude in knowing they could get to work or take their kids to school—was worth every challenge I faced in getting the nonprofit off the ground.
That risk not only paid off by helping families but also transformed my life in unexpected ways. It became a platform for growth, connection, and purpose, allowing me to expand my reach through other ventures like my TV show and books. Starting Driving Single Parents Inc. taught me that the greatest rewards come when we push past fear and focus on the lives we can change. Taking that risk didn’t just change others’ lives—it changed mine, too.
In today’s world, negative news is commonplace. Describe how you stay optimistic as you continue to spread positive through your widespread work.
Cindy Witteman: In a world where negative news often dominates, I stay optimistic by focusing on the good that exists all around us. My work constantly reminds me that there are incredible people and organizations making a positive impact every day, even if their stories don’t always make headlines. Through my TV show, Little Give, my magazine, FORCE, my nonprofit, Driving Single Parents Inc., and my writing, I have the privilege of connecting with everyday heroes—individuals who are changing lives and spreading hope. Their stories inspire me to keep believing in the power of kindness, resilience, and community.
I also make a conscious effort to protect my mindset. Gratitude is a cornerstone of how I approach life; I start and end each day reflecting on the things I’m thankful for. This practice helps me focus on abundance rather than lack. I’ve also learned to set boundaries around negative media consumption, ensuring I’m informed without becoming overwhelmed. Instead, I choose to fill my world with uplifting stories, personal growth content, and the victories of those I work with.
Lastly, I remind myself that positivity is contagious. By shining a light on hope, progress, and perseverance through my work, I know I’m contributing to a ripple effect. Staying optimistic isn’t about ignoring challenges—it’s about choosing to see opportunities, celebrate victories, and believe in the potential for change. That perspective keeps me motivated to continue spreading positivity in everything I do.
What legacy do you hope to leave behind through your nonprofit, your writing, and your TV show?
Cindy Witteman: The legacy I hope to leave behind is one of hope, empowerment, and lasting impact. Through my nonprofit, Driving Single Parents Inc., I want to ensure that struggling single parents have a lifeline—a tangible way to regain their independence and rebuild their lives. I want the families we’ve helped to look back and remember that, in a moment of hardship, someone believed in them and provided not just a vehicle but a pathway to stability and opportunity. I hope that long after I’m gone, the organization continues to grow and serve, creating ripples of positive change for generations.
Through my writing, I aspire to leave behind a collection of books that inspire readers to persevere, embrace their power, and transform their lives through mindset and action. I want my words to serve as a beacon for anyone feeling lost or defeated, showing them that their circumstances don’t define them and that growth and success are always within reach.
With Little Give, my goal is to shine a spotlight on everyday heroes and nonprofits that are changing lives. I hope it becomes a lasting reminder of the power of kindness and community, encouraging others to step up and make a difference in their own ways.
Through FORCE Magazine, I want to empower individuals and businesses by showcasing resilience, innovation, and stories of triumph. By providing a platform that celebrates those who are making a difference, I hope to inspire readers to take bold actions in their own lives and communities.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that one act of kindness can create a ripple effect. I want my legacy to be that I used my life to lift others, inspire hope, and leave the world a little better than I found it.
